Growing food and density together

The Growing Food and Density Together summary report aims to help inform stakeholders interested in developing urban food strategies and enable sustainable urban transformation through local food production.

This research was funded by Landcom through the Landcom Roundtable and has been based on independent research led by Macquarie University, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the University of Sydney.

The report is guided by an overarching question:

What can happen when local foodscapes are placed at the centre of urban transformation?

This research summary report outlines:

  • some of the challenges faced in delivering urban foodscapes
  • key learnings from the research
  • key opportunities for enabling urban foodscapes
  • local and international case studies.
