Welcome to Schofields

A cool, green and sustainable neighbourhood for Sydney’s northwest

Current as at: July 2024

Civil works are progressing well and should be completed later this year. Grima Street is anticipated to open again as a two-way half-width road in September and will be open as a full-width road once the civil works are complete and accepted by Council.

The project

Centred on the principles of good design, diversity and liveability, Landcom’s project at Schofields in Sydney’s northwest is unlike traditional new home communities.

The project will showcase housing types that reflect the changing needs of our diverse communities, such as terraces, manor homes and innovative compact housing.

Located roughly 1.4 kilometres from Schofields Railway Station, the project will feature a significant increase in tree cover and landscaping, providing shade and helping to maintain more comfortable outdoor temperatures during warmer weather.

With 20% fewer hard surfaces and paved areas compared to standard developments, and 20% more green verge, the Schofields project will set a benchmark for liveable green streets.

These green spaces also encourage incidental play and interaction with neighbours, providing a greater sense of belonging and community connection.
