Welcome to Schofields

A cool, green and sustainable neighbourhood for Sydney’s northwest

Current as at: October 2024

The opening of Grima Street has been delayed due to required design changes throughout the subdivision and bad weather conditions.

These events have impacted the timeline for completing the pavement and asphalt works. As a result, the road is now due to open as a full-width road in October.

We are working to complete the remaining construction works and ensure that the road is safe and fully functional for public use.

The project

Centred on the principles of good design, diversity and liveability, Landcom’s project at Schofields in Sydney’s northwest is unlike traditional new home communities.

The project will showcase housing types that reflect the changing needs of our diverse communities, such as terraces, manor homes and innovative compact housing.

Located roughly 1.4 kilometres from Schofields Railway Station, the project will feature a significant increase in tree cover and landscaping, providing shade and helping to maintain more comfortable outdoor temperatures during warmer weather.

With 20% fewer hard surfaces and paved areas compared to standard developments, and 20% more green verge, the Schofields project will set a benchmark for liveable green streets.

These green spaces also encourage incidental play and interaction with neighbours, providing a greater sense of belonging and community connection.
