Welcome to Guntawong Road, Tallawong

Innovative new housing for Sydney’s burgeoning northwest

Planning, construction and sales

Project planning for the Guntawong Road project is underway. Landcom is working with specialist consultants and consulting with Blacktown City Council.

Subject to project approvals, in 2025 we anticipate we will commence:

  • construction and landscaping works to support the future delivery of homes
  • sales of first housing lots.

The project

In partnership with the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Landcom is working to deliver sustainable and affordable homes at Tallawong, in Sydney’s growing northwest.

Spanning 29 hectares, this transformative project will include around 750 homes, surrounded by vast green spaces to improve wellbeing and encourage a healthier lifestyle.

The diverse range of housing provides ‘traditional’ freestanding homes alongside other housing types, such as semi-detached homes and apartment blocks up to four storeys, providing greater housing choice.

Just moments from Tallawong Station and a range of amenities at Rouse Hill Town Centre, this project will set a new standard for housing development in northwest Sydney.

Design & sustainability

The Guntawong Road project will follow a range of best-practice design principles to create a thriving, sustainable neighbourhood, including:

  • a mix of housing types to provide greater choice, affordability and housing security for a range of new residents
  • at least 10% of homes to be set aside as Affordable Housing to support low to moderate income households
  • an urban design approach that acknowledges and connects with Country
  • tree-lined streets to provide shade and cool the neighbourhood
  • open space and public amenities alongside First Ponds Creek, with planning underway for parkland, play space, and pedestrian and cycling paths in consultation with Blacktown City Council
  • restoration of vegetation along First Ponds Creek to enhance habitat for local wildlife
