Lismore build to rent homes take shape
UrbanGrowth NSW will begin the first of a number of information sessions for about 50 landowner groups set to benefit from a new development plan for Riverstone Scheduled Lands in Sydney’s Northwest.
The sessions will inform landowners in Precinct A (Stages 1-3) about their voluntary contributions agreements (VCA), the contract for the development of their lots.
NSW Planning Minister, Rob Stokes, has granted a subdivision order for the area following a consent ballot by landowners in March this year.
UrbanGrowth NSW’s Head of Western Sydney Projects Portfolio, Matthew Beggs, said the subdivision order allows UrbanGrowth NSW to implement the development plan on behalf of landowners.
“Landowners in the Riverstone Scheduled Lands Precinct A (Stages 1-3) have received a letter from UrbanGrowth NSW containing the VCA and their contributions notice.
“The VCA outlines the contribution each landowner needs to make to the development costs and needs to be signed and returned to UrbanGrowth NSW before 28 February 2017.
“Like all developers, these landowners will make a contribution towards the cost of all approvals, subdivision works, including roads, drainage, potential remediation and demolition.
“Under the VCA, they can choose to make a monetary payment upfront to cover their subdivision costs or trade their land with UrbanGrowth NSW to pay for the costs,” he said.

Landowners from Precinct A (Stages 1-3) will also be able to sign and submit their documents at these sessions.
