A modern community with a village heart

At Oran Park Town, through our partnership with Greenfield Development Company, we have created sustainable living with a village heart, with more than 6,500 people now calling it home.

A former raceway and dairy, today Oran Park Town demonstrates a new approach to providing urban centres that meet the housing needs as well as the education, employment, health and recreational needs of new greenfield communities.

Oran Park Town is a masterplanned community that delivers sustainable living with a focus on lifelong education, the delivery of early and award-winning infrastructure and amenity including a new Library and Community Centre, Julia Reserve Youth Precinct and Doohan Reserve, and provision of a walkable neighbourhood with a diverse mix of housing.

Creating a place for people

Oran Park Town has created a place for people to live, work and play.

Delivering on our vision for lifelong learning and healthy living we have delivered award-winning facilities including public open spaces, playgrounds, extensive sporting facilities, Skate Park, Community Centre and Library. Also, innovative for 2008, we installed high-speed optical fibre infrastructure to deliver telecommunications to every home.

At Oran Park Town we have worked with the private sector to not just deliver on housing supply, but to deliver a modern urban centre that seeks to meet the employment, education, health and recreational needs of a new community in a greenfield development setting.

Places 1200x700

Integrating environmental sustainability

Water sensitive urban design at Oran Park Town includes a water quality management strategy that uses combined raingardens and detention basins to improve local riparian corridors.

Sustainability has been integrated into the landscape and public domain to deliver high quality streetscapes and public open spaces that optimise environmental sustainability and enhance shade and environmental comfort to users and residents.

We resolved trunk water and sewer services issues for the region including constructing three sewage pumping stations. We also delivered major lead-in road infrastructure.

Creating place through heritage and community development

The site’s heritage is essential to the place we see today. This is the home of the former Oran Park Raceway, which twice hosted the Australian Grand Prix as well as Supercar and Superbike championships. Our master plan road layout interprets the original race track, and street names honour motor racing greats such as Peter Brock, Colin Bond, Allan Moffatt, Mick Doohan and Mark Webber. We also interpreted the area’s farming history in the project design.

At Oran Park Town, community connection is supported through community development activities including Monthly markets and a Community Newsletter.
