Keen land buyers from Sydney, the Southern Highlands and beyond have snapped up 11 of the 16 lots that went on sale at Renwick last Saturday, June 28, 2014, with the remaining lots expected to sell shortly.
A queue of buyers waited for the land sale to start at 10am on Saturday and first in line was Highlands couple Sam Hall from Penrose and Clare Wallder from Moss Vale who said they planned to build a house on their Renwick block next year before getting married in late 2015 and starting a family in the near future.
“We like Renwick because it’s close to our families in the Highlands but also closer to Sydney where I commute for work,” said Sam. “Renwick also has a really nice feel to it as a community – we really warmed to it,’ he added.
Also in line were Dr Michelle Mulvihill and Elizabeth Hume from Dural in Sydney who also plan to move to Renwick on their new lot early next year along with their two dogs, Pluto and Inca. “We have friends in the Highlands and we can’t wait to move here,” Dr Mulvihill said. “We were impressed by the layout of the development here in Renwick and the Southern Highlands has so much to offer in terms of culture, restaurants, the people and the general lifestyle,” she added.
