Oran Park Town residents will enjoy state-of-the-art youth facilities, with the new $14 million Julia Reserve Youth Precinct officially opened today.
Landcom CEO John Brogden, and Greenfields Development Company CEO Tony Perich, joined Clr Theresa Fedeli, Mayor of Camden, to celebrate the opening.
Mr Brogden said the Julia Reserve Precinct includes a skate park, parkour area and a new youth and recreation centre.
“Landcom is very proud of this unique facility that we hope will attract young people from all around the Macarthur region,” Mr Brogden said.
“The 5.2 hectare park also includes multi-purpose courts, grassed kick-around areas, shelters, and footpaths which will create a much needed sport and recreation hub for young people in the area.”
Greenfields Development Company CEO, Tony Perich said that the Youth Precinct’s location will help create a vibrant and active town centre.
“The Youth Precinct is located in the heart of Oran Park Town and is a key part of the Civil Precinct which includes the new Council building, Oran Park Podium Shopping Centre, commercial space, a smart work hub and a library,” Mr Perich said.
Construction is currently underway on Doohan Reserve, a $19 million sporting complex being delivered by Landcom and Greenfields Development Company that will include four football fields, eight tennis courts, two multi-purpose courts, two AFL/cricket ovals, cricket nets and car parking.
Camden Mayor Theresa Fedeli said Julia Reserve will be a valued addition to Camden’s local parks and facilities that will allow residents to enjoy great facilities close to home.
“Our local young people will now have another fantastic facility where they can catch up with friends, enjoy the skate park, play ping pong or basketball,” Mayor Fedeli said.
Oran Park Town is one of the largest master-planned communities in NSW, and will provide 10,000 lots for 30,000 residents over the next 20 years.
