One Minto goes from strength to strength

Sydney, 23 July 2010 – On Saturday, 24 July, Landcom will open the doors to prospective new home owners with the release of further land at One Minto.  Having sold a total of 121 lots since the development’s official opening in July 2008, with a further 35 lot reservations, One Minto has once again created a buzz amongst prospective home owners keen to pick up one of the 24 new lots for sale.

Lots range in size from 351 to 697 square metres and can be purchased from $160,000 to $195,000.  Purchasers are also able to choose between four renowned builders including AJ Jennings, Clarendon Residential, Rawson Homes and Wisdom Homes, to create their dream home.

Once complete, One Minto will deliver around 1,150 homes creating a new community with over $10 million worth of community facilities including six new parks with BBQs and play equipment; a $2.4 million new community centre; upgraded childcare facilities and landscaped streets and footpaths.

Since the first residents moved into their new homes in late 2009, One Minto has exceeded expectations. Approximately 40 families already call One Minto home and the project anticipates a further 30-40 families will move in by the end of this year.

Long-time resident of Minto, University of Wollongong teacher Satya Mani, was especially attracted to the One Minto community after seeing the development evolve with his wife.

“From the moment we first drove past the development we loved the design and knew we wanted to be a part of it all.  It looked so modern and nice,” said Mr Mani, a father of four whose children have since moved out of home.

“The gardens and parks offer residents a pleasant and safe environment to relax and enjoy the outdoors.  There are also outdoor barbeques, which are ideal for when the whole family is around.”

New to the community, first home owner Bibek Adhikery chose to build his family home in One Minto after learning of the value in building a home to raise his family.

“My wife and I have a two-year old boy so owning our first home is incredibly exciting for us,” Mr Adhikary said.

“The locality is very nice and we are already using the community facilities.  We also have a rainwater tank and solar gas heating so the development has clearly considered sustainability features.”

All new residents to the community receive a welcome pack containing information about the local area, as well as a welcome gift.
