New life, new intensity for North Arncliffe. Australand is developing a 7.8 hectare area in Wolli Creek, formerly a Landcom and State Rail Authority Site.
Appropriately called Discovery Point, it links Arncliffe to its environs - homes to heritage, retail to reserves and commerce to the Cooks River. The completed project will have up to 1,100 apartments, and around 55,000 m2 of commercial and retail space, creating a thousand jobs in the new development and 6,000 more in the North Arncliffe area. What's unique about the redevelopment is the rejuvenation of the natural surroundings which includes the Cooks River and the historic Tempe House with its pristine lawns.
In addition, 700 more trees will be planted. Discovery Point is only 12 minutes away from Sydney city centre and has easy access to the domestic and international airports, the M5 extension, the CityRail network and south bound buses. Ignored for 20 years, this development will help deliver a new look Wolli Creek Station, waterfront areas, restored heritage buildings, improved sewage and road works.
