Overview
Landcom is currently working with local landowners to create a new residential community at the Riverstone Scheduled Lands.
The Scheduled Lands cover approximately 300 hectares and are located within the northern portion of the Riverstone Precinct in the North-West Growth Centre. There are an estimated 550 land owners who share ownership of nearly 3,600 narrow and small lots – creating a challenging task to plan and deliver services to develop the area.
Landcom is not a landowner within the Riverstone Scheduled Lands. Our role is to act as a Development Manager to assist with the future development of the area. Landcom is working in liaison with the local landowner group, Growth Centres Commission and Blacktown City Council to identify a model that will help facilitate the co-ordinated and viable development of the Riverstone Scheduled Lands.
Landcom presented an outline of its proposed model to a local landowners meeting in November 2006 which was broadly endorsed by those who attended.
