Why do we need this data?

As a State-Owned Corporation, Landcom is required to publish annual public environmental reports illustrating its environmental performance with respect to various environmental issues such as waste, energy and greenhouse gas. The reporting requirements are specified in Landcom Corporation Act 2001, Part 3, Clause 14.

Reporting Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste data

Landcom's Waste Minimisation Policy is consistent with that of the NSW Government "Waste Reduction and Purchasing Policy", July 1995 and NSW Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) "Construction and Demolition Waste Action Plan", November 1998. These policies and plans have specific reporting requirements which are reflected in the "Waste Management" worksheet contained within the EMP Report Card.

Data Collection Responsibility

The contractors and builders are responsible for regular collection and recording of the site data (eg. waste, etc.) through an appropriate logbook system or the EMP Report Card.

Reporting Responsibility

The contractors and builders are responsible for submitting a completed EMP Report Card at project completion to the project manager for verification.

The project manager is responsible for checking the EMP Report Card for correctness and submitting it to Landcom electronically.

Data will be audited randomly, therefore it is crucial to be as accurate as possible.
