Zakhia has a background in marketing. She works with Landcom in a dual role as the Executive Assistant for Urban Renewal and Sustainability and Policy.
What does your role at Landcom involve?
“My main responsibility within the Sustainability and Policy team is to provide the Director, Steve Driscoll with administrative and corporate assistance, support the day-to-day running of the team and contribute to initiatives that the team are working on.”

"Understanding the importance of sustainability from a corporate perspective. Whenever I thought of sustainability, I only ever thought of it from an environmental perspective not from a social, economic or governance perspective. By working with the Sustainability team, I have learnt that Landcom is not just a developer and is a lot more than the built form. It’s about creating a whole community.

"I really enjoyed working on the Landcom Guidelines. It was interesting to see how the guidelines showed the importance of sustainability from the concept planning and due diligence stages through to the final phases such as the commencement of the Welcome and Walking School Bus programs."
